EADIS AS A STRATEGIC ALTERNATIVE TO AIR STORAGE: ADVANTAGES AND CHALLENGES

This study aims to analyze the role of Inland Customs Stations (EADIs) as a strategic alternative to air storage, highlighting their advantages and challenges. The research employs an exploratory approach with a case study of Company ABC, which faced a change in the customs flow by opting for direct clearance at the primary zone (GRU airport). Data were collected on storage costs, import license issuance, and unutilized tax incentives. Results show that the EADI flow provides greater predictability, cost reduction, and tax benefit utilization, while air storage speeds up clearance but generates higher financial impacts and operational risks. The study demonstrates that strategic decisions should balance speed, cost, and compliance, contributing to logistical efficiency and financial planning.
