Project management is the means to transform any business, its practices require adaptability according to the segment, size, complexity and characteristics of the environment in which it is inserted. This study aimed to identify, through a bibliographic study and interview with experts in project and mega-event management, factors that influence the performance of a project. For theoretical foundation, bibliometric research was carried out. The analysis of results identified 02 factors and 06 areas of knowledge that influence the performance of projects.
