Focus and Scope

Mission

Disseminate and disseminate intellectual and academic production in the areas of teaching and research in administration and engineering and enable different professionals to get to know the work of national and international researchers.

Goals

The teaching and research magazine in administration and engineering - REPAE, aims to promote and disseminate studies in the areas of teaching and research, both in administration and in engineering.

Target Audience

REPAE magazine is aimed at a wide audience of researchers, professors, students, businessmen, consultants and other professionals, in the areas of administration and engineering, in a multidisciplinary way.

Peer Review Process

Articles submitted to the REPAE journal will be sent to two reviewers (double blind review), ensuring confidentiality and anonymity for both the author(s) and the reviewers. The judges will analyze the originality of the subject, the contribution to the area, the treatment presented, the clarity of the wording and the standardization of citations and bibliographic references. If one of the reviews is positive (with or without modifications) and the other is negative, the Journal will resort to a third reviewer to resolve the impasse. Only articles approved by at least two reviewers will be published.

REPAE is a bilingual, quarterly international electronic publication. (from 2021)

Publication of Number 1: April, Publication of Number 2: August. Publication of Number 3: December of each year.

Open Access Policy

This journal offers immediate free access to its content, following the principle that making scientific knowledge freely available to the public provides greater global democratization of knowledge.

Governance Policy

REPAE has adopted the following governance system:

editorial board

The Editorial Board is made up of academic representatives, doctors, different teaching and research institutions and organizations. The Editorial Board also manifests itself on relevant issues such as the consistency of editorial policy and publications, their quality and also on ethical issues relevant to editorial management. The members, therefore, have the role of analyzing performance, monitoring results and proposing continuous improvement in the Editorial Policy, in addition to publicizing the journal and positioning themselves as an arbiter in strategic issues of its involvement in the academic and professional milieu.

The duties of the Editorial Board are:

Define and maintain the editorial policy of the Revista Científica Eletrônica and establish the criteria for its execution;

Establish and keep updated the rules for the publication of the texts of the Revista Científica Eletrônica under its publishing;

Propose thematic editions to be published;

Monitor the editing process of each issue of the Revista Científica Eletrônica under its editing;

Commit to the periodicity of publications;

Propose changes that allow for the improvement and evolution of the “Qualis” concept of the journal under its editing or in this Regulation;

Identify and forward missing cases for the smooth running of the journal;

Define the opinion model that will be used for evaluation by the Appraisers;

Define reviewers for the first instance of evaluation;

Indicate the Institution's and/or ad hoc referees for the evaluation of the productions received;

Capture scientific articles;

Decide on the opportunity to order articles from national and/or foreign authors;

Operate the Electronic Publishing System (OJS) with regard to the inclusion and maintenance of content;

Communicate to the proponent about the decision of the Scientific Advisory Board;

Maintain exchanges with other HEIs, editorial agencies and research institutions, in the country and abroad, in order to expand the dissemination and dissemination of the Revista Científica Eletrônica under its responsibility;

Manage, when applicable, or seek funding, through a project, financial support;

Indicate the Editor of the Journal.

Scientific Council

It is a collegiate composed of representatives of the research groups that directly support the development of the journal. Its performance is done in a collegiate manner, with collective and democratic decisions. The group's main mission is to seek to ensure the credibility of the editorial procedures adopted and assume academic and scientific responsibility for the journal.

The Board appoints the scientific editor who becomes its natural member. Its attributions are of a scientific nature in order to ensure that the Journal's mission is fulfilled. This committee must be permanently active in complying with the general definitions of the journal's editorial policy and also with the planned editorial procedures, particularly with regard to guaranteeing the consistency and quality of publications. Special editions and other scientific contributions are discussed and defined by this instance. Its duty is to discuss and develop its own regulations for various subjects such as: rules and formatting of articles; criteria for evaluating and accepting texts for publication; acceptance of new research groups to join the committee; budget approval; accreditation of reviewers and referees; definition of circulation and subscription policy, among other matters.

Scientific Editor

Responsible for establishing the editorial policy, editorial management and supervision of the Editorial Secretariat, which operates the entire workflow, with the help of the Open Journal System – OJS and systems, the Editor has a specific role in the prior selection of articles sent to the journal and in the distribution of articles among the reviewers who will evaluate them. If the articles have the expected quality, according to the evaluators' decision, they are published.

Articles Reviewer

The work of reviewer is one of the most critical in building a good quality magazine. A good reviewer helps build the quality of the journal and its own function. The focus of the evaluation of the REPAE journal is to accept (or not) the work for publication and, in positive or negative case, contribute to the improvement of the text in scientific and presentation terms. The referee must always have an attitude of accepting a task for which he feels comfortable in thematic, theoretical and methodological terms. As the process is double blind, this tends to be the main feature of the entire process.

The main objective of this magazine is to generate intellectual and academic production in the areas of teaching and research in administration and engineering that can contribute to the Development and Sustainability of the areas of social sciences, computer science, education, health and engineering.

The journal is linked to the Research Groups/Institutions to which the Editorial Board members are linked, all of which are registered with the CNPQ.
